Final music video

This is our final music video

Final product- digipak

The music video so far...

This is the rough cut of our music video, we just need to make a couple of minor changes and add in any missing shots

What needs to be improved:

• Need to fill in any gaps
• make sure all all scenes change to the beat
• ensure all lip-synching is on time
• change the timing on some clips

Production update - digipak

What I have done since last time

• created a new doccument that was 36cm width by 24cm height (36x24)
• put all 6 panels on there and sized them up (each one being 12x12cm)
• added dividing lines

What I need to do

• put the panels in the correct order 
• rotate them once they are in order

New skills I have learnt

Through the creation of my album advert and digipak, I have learnt new skills on photoshop so that I can make my work appear as unique yet following the conventions needed as much as possible

Why special effects?
I have chosen to use special effects as my music video is conceptual, I want the audience to make the link between the products

This tutorial inspired me in the creation of the album title on the front of my digipak:



I also was inspired by the dispersion effect, therefore, I tried to include something similar in my digipak with the use of the smoke brush tools 

Behind the scenes/ extra footage

This video is a complication of some of our behind the scenes and extra footage, we put this together to show that not all shots were correct first time and often it would take a couple of shots to get this perfect, it was also very funny to look back at some of the unpredictable things that can happen when you use paint e.g. it being to clumpy/ runny.

This is my album advert so far

What I have done:

• copied over the work from the digipak to the advert
• added a layer mask and used a bush tool on a low harshness and black-grey colour scale to give a gradient fade
• inserted a 'cracked layer' and reduced its opacity
• Added the record company logo

What I need to do:

• add magazine ratings
• change the text of 'july 2017'
• straighten and arrange stars
• 'Cara Alessi' needs to stand out more
• add website/social media

Personal evaluation

I am starting to regret working as a 2 as it means that we can have double the work load compared to some larger groups, this is because most production tasks are group work but we have to divide it between the 2 of us rather than a 3 or 4.

Bearing this in mind, if I had the chance to redo this task I would have chosen a larger group or  a shorter song.
